The performer was born on November 26 1987 at Santa Monica California in the United States of America. Her father Vincenzo Barba is the mother of Valerie Barba. She was just six when she left her family and moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey. She completed her high school studies in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She then attended Catholic University, where she graduated with a degree in architecture. As a violinist from the age of 4, Violingirl was her nickname. The name she was given by her nickname due to her performances. She also taught kids from the locality on how to play the violin. When she was 19, she enrolled in the sixth American Idol season and performed one single Free 1976. She was however eliminated from the competition after she reached 16th position.
