The performer was born on November 26 1987 at Santa Monica California in the United States of America. Her father Vincenzo Barba is the mother of Valerie Barba. She was just six when she left her family and moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey. She completed her high school studies in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She then attended Catholic University, where she graduated with a degree in architecture. As a violinist from the age of 4, Violingirl was her nickname. The name she was given by her nickname due to her performances. She also taught kids from the locality on how to play the violin. When she was 19, she enrolled in the sixth American Idol season and performed one single Free 1976. She was however eliminated from the competition after she reached 16th position. There were many songs she performed including 2009's "The Christmas Song" as well as 2010's Out for Blood. The singer has also been featured on television shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live! Antonella Barba became famous as an American when she competed in American Idol's 6th season. The singer began her career in film after her elimination from American Idol in six seasons. In 2012, she appeared on Fear Factor as an contestant, and also played parts in minor roles in various films. Daily Mail report that according to the news from the 21st of November 2019, she was sentenced to four years imprisonment for conspiring the use of fentanyl to distribute it. In July 2018, the singer pleaded to having at least 400 grams of Fentanyl, and attempting to sell it. She was arrested by authorities in Virginia after she attempted to bring nearly 2 kilograms of the substance into a secret stash in October 2018.
